Hello! Iโm Ella, and I am passionate about creating. I pride myself on my accuracy and attention to detail. Iโm hard working, organised and have plenty of patience when completing tasks, such as embroidery. Iโm always up for a challenging new project and aspire to work as a Costume Maker in both film and theatre. Iโm very cheerful and outgoing, with valuable experience working in theatre. I love what I do, and this certainly shows in my work. I enjoy working within a team, but feel equally confident about working independently.

Wardrobe Mistress Assistant

Currently I am on tour with Holiday on Ice in France, where my role is Wardrobe Mistress assistant. I was brought on to be the double for the Wardrobe mistress, meaning that we split the amount of work and each independently run the shows. This has been a great experience so far and a great responsibility.

For this performance of the country wife, I worked again with the designer Stewart Charlesworth and realised his designs. This show was set in the 1920s, my favourite era to make for!

On this job I worked closely with the designer Stewart Charlesworth for the performance of Macbeth. Personally I made 4 witches capes and a night dress for the character Lady Macbeth. This show will tour, starting in Dubai.

During University, I adopted the role of costume interpreter for theatre and film. My third year projects included a performance of โThe Ash Girlโ, where I created a couture gown. I also worked with fine silks and lace while creating 3 sets of 1930โs lingerie for the performance of โNine till Sixโ. Finally I worked on a grad film named โCrimsonโ. For this I made a Chinese warrior outfit for the lead actress.

For 9 weeks I travelled parts of China, teaching English to children, ranging from aged 3- 15. Experiencing the difference in culture while working in a new environment was very challenging, and required a massive amount of hard work. I revelled in the challenge and threw myself into the experience wholeheartedly.
